My research advances the understanding and practical application of hydrological and hydrometeorological processes by connecting data, models, field observations, and open-source tools.

A living field laboratory

These activities support a novel network of in situ precipitation and soil-moisture monitoring sites across five Chilean catchments spanning Mediterranean to humid environments. The network enables hypotheses about hydrological behaviour to be tested with multiple data sources and complementary modelling approaches.

Overarching goal: deliver reliable estimates of the impacts of global change and extreme events at the catchment scale, generating actionable knowledge for robust water management and environmental decision-making.
